Job Description Own month-end close end-to-end, including journals, reconciliations and Opex files, delivering accurate outputs for Financial Controller review Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with supporting schedules and insightful variance analysis Ensure technical accounting compliance with AASB/IFRS, including ownership of revenue recognition (AASB 15 / IFRS 15) Support year-end processes, including statutory financial statements and external audit (audit led by Financial Controller) Own statutory and tax compliance across entities, including preparation of tax workpapers Oversee SaaS revenue processes, supporting automation and continuous improvement of revenue-related tasks Drive process improvement initiatives, including clearing backlog FinOps projects and enhancing operational efficiency Manage and optimise finance systems focusing on data integrity, automation, AI utilisation, and scalability Play a key role in ERP/system enhancements or implementations Oversee transactional finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, payments, payroll, and global treasury Lead and develop junior team members, with the Assistant Accountant reporting into the role Own cash flow management, including weekly cash reporting and a rolling 13-week forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities Continuously improve finance processes and controls, leveraging automation and AI The Successful Applicant Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar CA/CPA qualification Big 4/Mid Tier Audit background preferred Strong grasp of accounting standards and technical accounting Compelling stakeholder management and interpersonal skills Experience with SaaS revenue highly regarded Genuine ability to challenge the status quo and process improve Industry experience ideal, suited to a 2nd time mover What's on Offer Highly competitive salary, $120,000 - $145,000 Super contingent on experience Very flexible work, 2 days onsite (come in more if you like!)
